So is it an AH or did PCGS get it right? I can't see the "I" well enough in the pics, but you've been able to tell from a lot worse pics.

PCGS got it right. The problem with focusing only on the truncated serif is that it can happen on a regular variety with a little grease fill in that area.

    Hey that's my coin. image

At that grade it doesn't matter much but I assume both PCGS and Russ are correct.

I just got grades posted were I sent in 3 AH, but only two (the low grades) came back as AH.

I don't hunt for them because appearently I can't even tell when I have them in hand, but I check the "I" on unopened sets I get. I guess I need to actually check the HAIR for the ACCENTED HAIR variety image

    Relayer,

If you want them to designate the regular variety as an Accented Hair, you need to put it at the end of a submission with a bunch of Accented Hairs right in a row. That's what I did with this one (which I deliberately recorded as an AH to see what would happen):

After grading about 10 in a row, they just get in the habit and don't look very closely. image

On my last submission I sent 2 in on line #20 - and I'm pretty sure only one of them is an AH using my "I" criteria.

Since there is no line #21 it will be interesting to see what they do - call them both AH or neither AH. image

You ought to bid on it and then retract your bit using the reason that "You are Russ"
