    Coooool!!! (I'm a math Ph.D. student!)

Too bad I just sent in a 49-s half, a 51 half, 2 73-d Lincolns, 2 79-d Lincolns... that's okay, I'm sure I can find another coin to send in of those years...

Yeah, I sent in a couple of 1973s myself already. Now I need to go find me more. image
  • If I had enough coins to justify getting a Gold Membership, I'd probally try to dig something up image

    383 is a prime number!

MIT decided to cap early admissions at 383 because it's a prime number... image

Anyhoo, 1987 is prime, too? COOL! I was born in my prime image

Can you enlighten me as to what this means? Free submission to what? I have an 1861 Proof 3CS and 1861 Proof Half Dime. Thanks.

If you are a PCGS Collectors club member (Gold or Silver), then you can submit a coin toPCGS for FREE (no submission fee, but you dostillhave topay for shp/ins). Every quarter, the FREE coin submission type varies - last quarter is was a year where twodifferent designes of coins were minted - such as the 1921 Morgan and 1921 Peace Dollars, or the 1837 Bust 10c and the 1837 Seated 10c . This quarters FREE coin is a coin with prime number as the date -examples listed above - any coin withthat date can be submitted for FREE - raw grading or cross.

I am 0 for 1 with trying to crossover a coin for the freebie but this NGC-55 might make the trip to California:

  • I've pretty much decided that of the coins I own, my 1913 quarter eagle makes the most sense to send in. But there are a few coins that I've been looking to buy for my type set that could fit the bill, so I'm going to wait and see if I manage to snag one of those in the next three months and if that would be a better coin to send in than my quarter eagle...

I have a clipped gem 1933 cent I may crack and submit - right now it's in a new PCI holder. image I know the clip is good, but the color seems a bit too vivid. Maybe I can get my second straight free bodybag. image
