Well, the pictures are a bit lossy from high jpeg compression but I'd say MS60/61
  • I'd say 58

  • There is a graffiti like mark in the right obv field for starters and I think that would bring it down from a basic 60

I agree with previous posts -- AU-58 slider.

  • I agree with above and suggest you lose the plastic wrapping unless sure it has no PVC. I'd also soak it for a few minutes in running water followed by soak in acetone (or top grade clear nail polish remover) because it has that just dipped look and there might be residual acids on the incised areas that will turn ugly brown.

Please, you can't be suggesting someone dip a coin in ANY type of nail polish remover? Coins should only be dipped in 100% pure industrial grade acetone.
  • It's an MS61

she was a very very nasty brown with crud all over her and no luster peaking through, obv and rev. I did an ms70 50% dip to remove loose dirt and water rinse....then a regular dip for 2 seconds followed by water for one minute followed by pure acetone x 3 dips........

I bought it for $10 and wanted to dip it for my own experience to see what it would look like compared to other non dipped white-ish coins.......not just go by word of mouth or what others say is dipped or not.

    its in a 2 x 2 flip.....not plastic wrap.

    When in doubt, don't.

  • It looks like it has a bit of wear on the eagle and Liberty's cheek so I say slider AU58. Still learning myself though

58 or 60. Scuff marks kill the grade.

I'd say it looks to be a 58. I suppose coins like this are a pretty good "experiment," as your downside is extremely limited with a $10 Morgan.

And how many PCGS entombed Morgans dont look cleaned, or Walkers or probably 50% of the other blast white coins out there?

I'd say MS-63 or 62. The coin is not bad, but it's got enough marks to take it out of anything better than that.

  • Well since I guessed right that it was just dipped (which is fine with me-looks great!), I'll double up and guess it will go MS-63! By the

way, I by saying to rince in acetone or pure white high grade nail polish remover, I only meant that's the way to buy it.

I woulldn't suggest a big order asking for acetone of nitrate fertilizer etc. here in D.C.--unless you're friends with the ATF/
