Another shipping charge complaint - Heritage

With recent threads discussing whether shipping charges are too high, I now have a big complaint with Heritage. I recently won two coins from two seperate auctions, since you cannot combine invoices through the site I called about combined invoices/shipping. They combined the invoices, but I recieved the coins and invoices today and the shipping was still seperate- a $8.70 and $6.50 charge for $4.30 worth of shipping on the envelope. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Shouldn't they combine the shipping?

    they mailed both coins together in ONE envelope and charged you 2 shippings??

    I haven't ever asked them to combine shipping. However, I don't think the overage that they charged is out of line. There is a handling portion as well as packaging material that needs to be accounted for. Given the number of coins they deal with, I can see where it would be difficult for them to coordinate a combined shipping effort. Invoicing is easily done on the computer.

    It might have been an oversight/error - did you call them to discuss it/correct it before complaining publicly, here? If not, why not?

    They mailed in one package and according to the shipping listed on there site I was overcharged (It does say multiple items can be shipped). I called but they aren't open I'll try again Monday.

    My complaint was too see if anyone had similiar issues, or if they don't combine shipping for seperate auctions or if they only combine if from the same auction. Since they weren't open I wanted to find out from others if my complaint was valid.

    I've bought many items from them, and they have always combined the separate invoice items. Just wait until they are open and give them a call, I'm sure they will refund the excess amount.

    I'm sure it will be, and if not it's only a few dollars. I was just annoyed that I had to call them again, I wish their site supported combining invoices.
