I like the toning, and everybody knows I'm sceptical about a lot of the toning madness out there.

MS66, and very nice toning too.

MS65, but would fall to 64 if dipped white, IMHO (that is, if the image is accurate). I can't tell if there's rub on the eagle's breast feathers or if it's image compression. There seems to be some chatter to the left of the bust and a hairline on the neck. Nice coin. Don't think it would star at NGC though but who knows?

Looks like too many marks in the fields. The toning is beautiful, however.

if that is not a hairline on the neck then it should grade 66 at PCGS and 67 at NGC, if that is a line then 64

I would have figured at least an MS65 on this one, but for whatever reason (and I really can't see the reasons) the powers that be chose to give this coin an....




Edited to add - the hairline that you see on the neck is actually in the plastic. There is just the slightest bit of chatter on Washington's jawline as can be seen, but other than that, most of the imperfections are on the plastic. Go figure!

The long hairline (album plastic insert rub?) across the forehead and down the neck could limit it to 65, but the coin has the eye appeal of a lusterous knockout 67. I would give it a 66, and forget the two marks (and mid-reverse one also).

The color is beautiful, and I can't for the life of me tell you why it's a 63 and not a 65. I have 65's graded by PCGS and this one is very competitive.
