How to get a new Breen Encyclopedia for $60 delivered

Over the last few months, I have fretted about not being able to rip a Breen Encyclopedia on ebay. I can be a real tightwad about some things, and I had it in my mind to get a deal on the book. On ebay, lightly used copies routinely sell for $70 to $85 plus up to $10 for delivery. I finally succumbed and decided to purchase a brand new copy from Amazon for $85 plus delivery.

I punched in my order and was alerted of an offer to get $30 of one's first purchase if you apply for and use the Amazon VISA. I signed up for the credit card, was immediately approved, and my $30 credit was applied to my purchase. The Breen is on its way to me now. image

Nice. How much have you spent on the Three Rivers Collection? image

the immense amount of phone calls and junk mail you will now receive will make you wish you'd paid the full price.

I was fortunate enough to win a copy of the Breen Encyclopedia on eBay for under $60 and it was still in its original box. I was pretty stoked. The only slight bummer is that during its entire time in the box the top part of the jacket was folded over. Overall pretty minor, but otherwise it was brand new.

I have two copies. Paid $100 for the first at the '96 ANA and bought another for $50 on ebay in '98. Still a nice reference.

  • I bought mine at a big Bookstore in the Grapevine Mills mall for around $60.00 or so, plus tax.
My wife had a 5% discount card as well.
This was quite a while ago though.

Mine was a gift from my parents. I refer to it frequently.

    Mine was a birthday present.

It's a great reference and a perfect gift idea for a family member who otherwise wouldn't know what to get you!

Wow! It came today. Whoever runs Amazon distribution should do some consulting for PCGS.

What a book! I am angry with you guys for nice forcing me to purchase it sooner. image
