image When did they upgrade to a squirel?

There are some crazy coins in this sale. Even an MS67 01-S!

Thank goodness I can't afford stuff of this calibre!

    Very cool to look at.

I hear you. I've haven't seen a run like that in a long, long time, topped of by a PCGS MS67 01-S. Good Lord!

There are some beautiful barber quarters for sure. I can just visualize Dave pacing his house in a sort of semi-coherent trance right now, trying to decide which coin(s) to buy with his limited budget! image

    Tyler -

You called it. I think better when I pace like a caged lion.

I'm contemplating selling my entire collection and renting the 01-S for 30 days....

Well - That will be one expensive rental! I really like the MS64 1909-O and the MS65 1898-S. For the price I would take the 98-S over the 01-S, and it is almost as scarce in MS. These are coins that are going to drain a lot of wallets dry.

My mouth is a little dry lookin' at 'em - but hey, that's free! image
  • Out of all of them, here's my favorite 1901-O.

    6 months to pay!
  • .jeezzzzz........that '01-O BUCKLES MY KNEES ! Complete sets of dimes, quarters and halves ;how many multimillionaires are collecting coins these days ?

The 01 O is a bit rich for me. Also, the toning is too dark for me to get enough detail on the coin, though it certainly has LOTS of eye appeal. I need to see a coin with an image like that in hand, as there may be some tick marks, etc., in the darkly toned areas.

But you're right, they have MANY attractive Unc. Barber Quarters, and usually, 'Barber' is a synonym for 'ugly.'

Keep your eyes open and watch the bidding before, during, and after the sale.

Any guesses for what the totals will be for the Hugon Dimes? Quarters? Halves? Proofs of each?

Dang, I could spend the better portion of several days just looking at those coins.

Overall opinion of all coins: WOW +3
