Intercept shields......................

A couple of years ago ICG came out with the intercept shield as an option on their slabbed coins. PCGS and NGC did not promote the shield as much and now you hardly see it at all. Was there something that turned these companies off about the shield? If so what was it. Has it been proven that they did in fact work as claimed?

Thanks

Not sure, but don't see them around much. Too expensive?

ICG had an exclusive contract that they could be the only slab with the intercept shield inside the slab. PCGS and NGC had no reason to promote another companies product. Now that contract is up.

This explains then why when I asked James Taylor about intercept shields for SAE's he said they were out of stock and would probably not be ordering anymore in the near future.

  • The basic technology is sound and the notion of a scarificial anode can be incorporated in into your non-wood non-paper containing low RH safety box or safe.
