Not real good on Buff's, just wondering what this one would go. Hope the pics are big enough to tell.

Hard to say from the image how much luster or if there is any rub, but the tail makes it look unc. but there is a lack of detail in the buff's head so ms64 tops or AU58 on the low end. I like buffs but that doesn't make me an expertimage

better pictures instead of larger ones would have helped allow for a more useful assessment. perhaps MS63.

Looks very similar to one I saw on DLRC. It was an NGC 65. Link. But yours is probably a 63/64

Looks like wear (could be a weak strike) on the rev. With the sm nicks and ticks I'd say AU58 to MS62. I'm no expert on these but is that streaky toining normal? Someone once told me that was a sign of a possible dip, anyone know about that?

This date is usually well-struck. If there's a question re strike or wear, it's wear. Plus, the streaking on this coin is nasty. OTOH, that's what I'd expect on a Teletrade coin.

I don't think that coin is unc. I think it's been dipped, and it looks like it's been abused a bit.

    Quite fugly to me.

  • I can't tell from that pic. I really don't like what I see. Might be a 58.
  • The 1913 Type 1 is one of the best struck coins of the buffalo series. They are very readily available in MS65 as many were saved. I know collectors who have rolls of MS 65 or better Type 1s.

The coin pictured looks like it has been dipped and improperly rinsed. It also appears to lack luster. There appear to be lots of problems that usually occur at a late die state.

If you can not see any trace of rub and no hairlines it is likely an MS60.

If circulated, I doubt PCGS would give it a high AU grade as the coin from the picture lacks eye-appeal.
