I had a friend that signed up for this forum. At the end of his registration he got a message that said he had to wait and be approved before he could post.
He registered on Thursday. Any idea how long it normally takes to get that email?
Thanks

Seriously, when I joined a couple of years ago I waited for a week and then I had to email customer service. They appologized and sent me a password a day later.

Maybe someone should start a Lurking Service. Then they could post questions for those signed up and waiting.
<< <i>I think mine took a few days or maybe even a week. I thought we were in the computer age but I guess if it taked 3-4 days to clear funds into a bank account then we aren't really there yet. >>
The delay is by design, to make sure the registration isn't from someone who has been booted off the board. Of course, there are a few second IDs being used now of previously banned members, so perhaps they used a different ISP to sign up.

The most entertaining part was that the password they sent me was semi-obscene! (Don't ask what it is....I still use it cause it makes me laugh.)

Or maybe just an unstated second chance, the powers that be bending a little without admitting to it.
