What coin series is the most boring? That's a tough one but I'd have to say Ike dollars.
I would guess that especially the younger collectors, those under 40 will find that over time that coins they once found uniteresting they will come to enjoy.

What??? Just for that -
Has to be Ken halves., IMO
Honestly Morgans are pretty boring to me for a 100+ year old coin that you can pick up BU, for many dates, for $20, you know there are boat loads of them and quite litterally everyone's grandma has one.
I even own some

#10 Franklin Halfs beat out Ms liberty Nic in the 10 spot - had to make this a top 11 list....
#9: 2 Cent Pieces
#8: Shield Nickels
#7: Sac Dollars
#6: Jefferson Nickels
#5: JFK Halfs
#4: Lincoln cents
#3: Washington Obv Quarters (like the statehood reverses but the obverse is snoresville)
#2 snoozoid and initial gut first choice for #1: Roosevelt dimes
But the all around flat out #1 snoozer award goes to: Anthony Dollars

Envy, the most collected series and it is boring? Yeh those Teens in Red are so disinteresting.

For some reason I can't stand Lincoln unless it's blast red, otherwise it just isn't appealing. But I don't think I choose that series.

Well, im not as strong in collecting in the hobby as I used to be. The series that once appealed to me no longer do. In a few years I could take my losses and quit coin collecting, who knows.

My nominations for boring designs:
Shield Nickels (except for the often outrageous die cracks)
Ike dollars
Anthony Dollars
3 cent silver
My nominations for the most boring collection of U.S. coins (perhaps a different question):
Circulated Franklin halves
Slabbed silver eagles in mint state
Sac Dollars

Only because they have been around longer (obverse at least) than my 92 year old grandma.
Lincoln Cent
Jefferson Nickel
Roosevelt Dime
Washington Quarter
Franklin Half
Kennedy Half
All of these are really boring to me. I like them in proof varieties though, especially DCAM.

, whatever they are.
Lincoln die varieties are included in that bunch, but they are a challenge - which is why I like them. I didn't pick them to specialize in because they were pretty.

Nice Roosie collection! Too bad we don't have a drool emoticon.
That 49 Frankie with surfaces like that is extremely rare...and if I'm seeing the photo correctly; full bell lines to boot.
One of those legendary Proof like 49's aye?
