I spent a lot of time looking at that coin myself. I already have one for my type set and am trying to stay focused, but it sure looked nice.

I'm not so much impressed by the color, (large cents can be full brown as far as I'm concerned). But that strike is great! Looks like you could cut yourself on the strands of hair!

Like Jay I spent a long time looking at it before deciding to pull the trigger. The only other large cents I've had in the past were a small handful of lower grade ones. I may also be getting one from Carl W here in a short while that I had my eye on.

You know, I like the moderns too but the classics still have that cool factor. What drew me to this piece was the strike and the mellowed color. Just the right combination. You can tell there's going to be some residual luster, too. Can't wait till I have it in hand.

There doesn't appear to be a mark on the coin. It's in a 4 holder due to spotting. Please let us know what % RD it actually is when you get it in hand. I can't tell from the image. Recently holdered RB copper, like this coin, can be anywhere from 25% to 80% RD.
