That's like a 2 week turn-around, what was the cost of the total including mailing?----------------------------BigE
    I'm glad I am a Tree
  • $15 each for grading plus shipping to them ($7) and $14 shipping back to me.

Here is the 1941. Sorry for the blury pic but there is one really small black mark above the date. That must be the "damage"

  • Hi Cameron,
Thanks image I guess that must be the "damage" - unless that is moved metal or something by Lincolns nose? Hard to say from the scan - could be a spot or nothing at all. The alloy seems uneven from the color as scanned - that mark you is part of the coins color yes?

  • It is original wood grain style color and the mark is black and a little darker then the rest of the coin. Under a 5X loupe I can see it now and understand why they net graded it but it sure itsn't severe. I'm ok, the grade isn't all that important on that type of coin.

    Nice run of errors Cameron!
I've always been mildly surprised though ANACS doesn't list the percentage of off-center like PCGS and NGC (and, others?) do.

Wheatback copper errors rate high on the cool scale.
