The problem I see with the Yankees trying to void Giambi's contract is....

if they allow Sheffield to stay because he is performing well isn't that a double standard? I am no lawyer but I would think a good lawyer would see right through this.

If Giambi was a man he wouldn't go after the money if the Yankees void his contract.

I grew to like Giambi but I was ticked off the Yankees got rid of Tino to begin with. That was the start of their chemistry contamination.

I just hope they have to pay his contract because, even though I am not a Yankee hater, hopefully that will mean they have less money to go out and sign all the good free agents this year.

Giambi didn't do anything illegal where his contract can be voided...and do you honestly think any player in their right mond would just let the money go if the team voided his contract? Come on now, you're living in fantasy land.

In addition, if they did, the player's union would jump all over that will lawsuits galore.

The Yankees can find a loophole. They can say that all those steroids he was taking diminished his ability to even play. Remember, they did the same thing with that 3B guy named Boone. Gianbi did not get into an accident, but he was doing something purposely. I think there might be a legal way around it.

Besides. Giambi cannot play anymore. He is finished. Burned out. Broken.

The Sheffield case is different. He was not actively using Steroids. He used the cream for injuries while he was training with Bonds. His short relationship with Bonds ended because he could not stand his self centered arrogant personality. Soon as the relationship ended, Sheffield find out all kinds of things and testified his case. This is like saying a person who tries pot once is a pot smoker. Also, when are we talking about that Sheffield tried the cream and when was it banned from baseball.

If they do go after Sheffield (which would really be illogical) then I hope over half the MLB players receive the same consequence no matter how little or a lot they tried banned substances, even if for a week.

    funny!

this witch hunt is only designed to
get Bonds (because they all hate him)
    and no one else.

A good example is that Sheffield and Bonds said the same thing
(that whatever they used, FROM THE SAME TRAINER, they were
told and believed it was non-steroidal, legal substances)

and people say "well, Bonds is lying, but poor Sheffield is innocent".

Proof that it is a conspiracy just to bring down One man.
