This ANACS AU58 Shield Nickel had been sitting in a local shops case for a week and after reading this ThreadI went and forked over $85, so how did I do?
I think you did well ... that's a nice AU Shield and the price is right for an 82 (IMO) ... nice Lib' also ... here's a with rays variety of the Shield in P55 and one of my favorite Lib's in P58 ...
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
I bought it because the die cracks were cool And it is a nice complement to the 1882 already in my album The colors a bit off, though--it's more nickel, but my white balance wasn't set when I shot it, and I haven't reshot it since
We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.
Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Any day I should have a liberty head nickel back from anacs that will put that one to shame, original coin and nicely worn, smooth reverse with no visible legends/devices and smooth obverse with barely outlined liberty head and date... I'll throw an image up when it comes.
