A submission wait question/opinion, as if you care, right??

I'm getting ready to ship to NCS/NGC today and I have a rather large, for me at least, order to prep for PCGS that I don't seem to be in a hurry to get shipped off. My main concern is to get it "in the system" before the holidays and then F.U.N. and then Long Beach set in to slow things down. Anyway, it just struck me that I'm not in that much of a hurry because the coins I'm submitting are for sets and not for sale. They're coins that I'm relatively satisfied with what my grade assessments are and they are primarily getting holdered for protection, uniformity and ease of dispersal whenever the point of sale arrives, either an upgrade or my rather untimely demise!!image The bottom line that ocurred to me is that they aren't getting holdered for the purpose of selling them.

Now, to the point, cause there's always a point!!! image There seems to be less angst expressed lately about waiting periods. Certainly some of that is the result of PCGS improving turnaround time, but there must also be a relaxing of submitters with regard to the "need" for coins to be returned. Does that mean more are submitting for themselves and not for re-sale?? Or have I just missed those threads and complaining continues??

So be honest, do you submit for yourself more often than for re-sale??(this is a MadMarty exempt question)

I think collectors are submitting about the same # of coins but with the busier coin market dealers are submitting more.

100% of my submission are for myself and not for re-sale. I have become rather fond of ANACS lately (Due to their express turnaround times, attribution service, slabbing of holed/damaged older coins, and price). However, if I was going to resell, I'd stick to PCGS for the most part.

You can only complain so much

I quit complaining last year, the time PCGS takes is "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

NGC is making much more sense now a days, both in grading and turn a round.

I see more and more of the members think so too.

Still waiting for PCGS orders, but not complaining
