Does this holed continental currency coin look genuine? I have no experience with this type of coin.

I see a lot of older coins like this with a similar look, some even slabbed - what's the giveaway? (Keep in mind that I'm not really a counterfeit afficienado, the only book I've read on the subject is Numistic Forgery)

The whole coin looks wrong. Bubbly surfaces, lack of real detail even for the condition. This type has tons of counterfeits and the whole coin looks wrong.

I agree with Cameron. The "field" surfaces below the high points don't look right. Looks too much like a casting to me.
