Dumber than a bag of hammers yet STILL people bid! Damn, what does this make them?image
  • That seller's got scary feedback. How can anyone in their proper frame of mind bid $500 on any of his items? Even his positive feedback makes me wary.
  • Whether it is right or wrong is a moot point.
Three day auctions on a holiday.
They'll be in and out before anyone anywhere does anything if anything is done.

A fool and his money is soon parted.

  • eBay was informed of this seller's auctions with PCGS in the title on TG and those auctions were pulled. I think with eBay, there's someone there all the time. Someone just has to pull the trigger and report it.

  • This guys doesn't understand trademark rules. He cannot sell coins using NGC or PCGS on the slabs. He will be slapped with a huge fine. Offcourse, NGC and PCGS have to send a cease and desist order to him first. It is not all humor in the business world.

Also the consumer is protected by 7 day return policy by law. He is charging sales tax yada yada and doesn't even know the basics of business.

    A moron may be....

  • Man, I can't believe the b*lls on this guy!

They're about to get chopped off by PCGS and NGC! image
  • There is no doubt this guy is a scumbag....and I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest his armpits.....BUT there is nothing PCGS or NGC can do about this and he knows it. "Numismatically Gratifying Coinage" and "Prooflike Coin Generic Slab" are NOT Copyright infringements.

Ahh, but they can cause marketplace confusion. And that is something lawyers can latch onto.

That's probably true... but he crossed the line when he used the acronyms. At that point, it's infringement.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Come on now !

Me and this guy are tight !

He would never scam anybody !

Copyright and trademarks are two different things. If NGC is just a copyright, he can change it to what ever he wants. But those are trademarks - NGC and PCGS. He cannot use those to sell any coins. That is the law.

He can however sell undergarments or sea shells using NGC and PCGS trademarks.

I think this guy knows exactly what he is doing. I appears he is purposefully stirring up trouble because he is either nuts or is bored. He probably does this and then lurks on the forum to see what kind of reaction it gets.

  • << <i>It was the night before Thanksgiving and the family will be spending Thanksgiving with your in-laws in Las Vegas. You were going to leave late to miss traffic but at 11pm you got called in for an emergency. You performed surgery for three hours and you got home at around 6pm Thanksgiving day. You were tired like hell, but you made a promise to the wife that you will take her to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving with her folks. You were about to leave but the hospital calls and you had to go back. You finally got a colleague to cover for you and you embarked on the 4-hour trip at around 10am Thanksgiving day. You promised to drop a coin off to a buyer who won the coin 10 days ago. The buyer was insistent and very unhappy he intimidated your nephews who thought that he was asking for their brother who had the same name as your father. >>

  • the neg feedback

Crazy molly leaves a neg on the 25th and then bids on the 26th on another coin. Not very smart.

  • Signal Hill, Ca.- informative, gut wrenching thought that he or his father is or are surgeons of any kind- would love to know this guys real name so I can call Gov. Arnold and the BMQA and stir a little with his "practice'.

friends in the right places always works.
  • How bout the yahoo who calls them SCAM ARTISTS in caps, and then leaves...a positive? This seller must have pictures of ebay in compromising positions for the latter to do nothing at all.

Remember, the seller requires that buyers leave a positive feedback before the buyer can have a refund. So maybe that was the buyer's way of getting his money refunded.

That's what I figured. The only trouble is that some people won't bother reading through the feedback, especially the positives.

Requiring positive feedback as a condition precedent for a refund is likely an unfair and deceptive business practice under most states' consumer protection laws and, I would guess, is contrary to eBay's own rules. What a dirtbag.

This is turning into "Twilight Zone" stuff. I'd like to hear 100proof57 (aka Crazy Molly)'s version of this story!! The way the seller puts this long-winded account of events in an Ebay listing is really bizarre!!
  • His return policy:

    1) No complaints: Winners who are not satisfied with the transaction are barred from filing a complaint before, during or after requesting a refund.

    2) No negative feedback: a negative feedback shall sever any and all business relationship with the person leaving said feedback.a person who leaves a negative must do so with the knowledge that it will nullify any guarantees from 2centsin

    3) Positive feedback: must be given upon agreement that the items shall be accepted for return and a full refund will be made. In no event shall funds be remitted prior to the posting of a positive feedback.
  • Back in the ol days when they wanted to get even they would either hang em or burn em at the stake- I say do both. this guy is bad news for gullible buyers, even those who challenge the fool.

That is absolutely in violation of eBay's policy against feedback extortion.

This guy couldn't pass a grade school spelling test. I wonder where he got his medical degree???? BTW, the 1914/13 is (was) just a normal coin-not an overdate at all.
  • These characters really know how to make a warm, freindly, customer friendly ebay site. They should run a class.

Really, who in their right mind would bid on any item after ready that the sellers threaten, whine, call former cutomers liars, and are clearly mentally disturbed.
