Is this a new ANACS slab?

DaveG

I haven't seen this before - an ANACS slab without a bar code on the front and with a PNG/ANA hologram on the back.

No, it's an old ANACS slab.

1989-1991 when the ANA owned the grading service.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I didn't know that ANACS had ever had a different hologram on the back!

Gee, is this a "rare" slab?

kieferscoins

ANACS during this time actually stood for the American Numismatic Association Certification Service.

Then it was sold to Amos Press and means nothing name wise.

It is not "rare" at all and I see them all the time.

Nice enough coin, tho.
