My latest "beaten into" submission results

This was a Teletrade order.....putting "lead-in" coins seemed to work the last couple of submissions but not this time. I may not even break even on the grading fees image

My grades in parenthesis()

1c 1965 SMS RD PCGS 65 (66)
1c 1965 SMS RD PCGS 65 (66)
1c 1965 SMS RD PCGS 67 (66 CAM.....sorry, but bumping this to 67 "no cameo" does not make me happy. This coin had a toning spot on the reverse)
1c 1967 SMS RD PCGS 66 (66 CAM...struck out on SMS cameos on my last submission too)
5c 1955 PCGS 66 Proof CAM (66 CAM....thats 1)
10c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (66.....thats 2 but this was supposed to be a lead in coin)
10c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (66 CAM....hmmmm...I thought it looked like the 2 67's that followed)
10c 1967 SMS PCGS 66 CAM (67 CAM)
10c 1967 SMS PCGS 66 CAM (67 CAM)
25c 1965 SMS PCGS 65 (66)
25c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (67)
25c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (67)
25c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (68 and a real shot at CAMEO. No friggin way this coin was not an easy 67+. There was not a single mark or hairline on this coin with a 10X loupe. This one really bugs me)
25c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 CAM (66CAM....this one was 2/3 the way to DCAM)
50c 1965 SMS PCGS 66 (67CAM)
50c 1966 SMS PCGS 64 (66....must have missed something here)
50c 1967 SMS PCGS 66 CAM (66 CAM.....thats 3)

Oh well, 3 out of 17 ain't bad I suppose.

PCGS continues their recent brutality with SMS coins.

  • You might want to buy back the nice ones, and the ones you are sure of to crack out and try again, rather then letting them go to auction and getting less than you want. The Teletrade submission fee plus buyback fee may not be much more than a $30 regular submission fee, maybe less, and you will have the coin back. I have done this at times. Put in the buyback before the auction, not during, of course.
