$30 coin ? I can get $50 to $60 for it raw on eBay.
My question was a simple one. No hidden meaning, or any implied secret code to impart a plastic hating frenzy.
Just trying to keep coin related topics on the U.S. Coins forum.......................

"plastic hating" frenzy? i think it's more like "stupidity hating" frenzy.
& no, i don't mean you personally.
let's be honest. i mean, your simple question was phrased as follows: "Is this 1931-S Lincoln worth sending in ?"
so to me, your asking if the value of the coin is sufficient to warrant the cost of getting it into a piece of plastic were the objective to sell it. to me, it's a $30 coin, but you claim $60, so let's use that number.
$15 of plastic fees + $5 shipping + $your time waiting for it to come back = AT LEAST $20
it seems to me that equates to much to high a cost in terms of "plastic fees", when it would come about to AT LEAST 33% of the value of the coin, even using your value.
so it would be like taking 1/3 of your paycheck after taxes every 2 weeks & giving it to microsoft, just because you like the pretty colors they bring to your desktop.
to me, throwing away 1/3 of your heard-earned $$$ on something stupid is, in general, pretty stupid.
hence my previous response.
