Ha ha ha... that guy is full of it!

Yah, that's what I'm going to do... lace his pocket with 10K, then spend another $1000 on 1 day grading fees, call PCGS and see if a grader could possibly take time out of their busy schedual to appear in a court of law (which I assume will be several states away), all this JUST SO I CAN PROVE HIM WRONG! What a morron!

The rules of the challenge are simple.
    1) Winner must produce irrefutable evidence that at least one of the coins in this auction is AT.
    2) Irrefutable evidence must be in writing from any grading service stating that they are 100 percent certain that the coin is artificially toned.
    3) A representative of that service must be willing to testify in a court of law that the history that 2centsin provided could not possibly cause the toning of said coin.
    4) This evidence must be provided within 60 days of receiving the coins.
    5) To provide the evidence the winner must submit the aforementioned proof in writing notarized by a state licensed notary public by mailing a copy of said proof to the address provided in the package
    6) 2cents in will be given sufficient time to verify the papers submitted but in no event should that time exceed one calendar week.
    7) Upon proper verification 2centsin will refund the payment but in no event shall 2centsin be liable for more than 100% of the winning bid in interest charges.
    8) If winner fails to provide the required documentation winner must leave a feedback stating that In this sellers auctions AT means Attractive Toning.

Speaking of history, I wonder about how coins get "desert" toned. Maybe he means "dessert."

What would be their screen name? The Pinatubo Posse? Desert Rats? Guess that's taken. No one made em show the questions in their listings. Duh-oh!

  • This guy is going off the deep end. He is even having fake Q&A's being put in.

If he's going to all this trouble, you would think he could spend a few minutes to ship 100Proof57's coin. I guess good customer service is not included as well.

I think the Q&A's are real. I remember someone around here making the crayola comment.

Yeah, the ones he cut and paste into the listing are real.

Look at the new ones at the end, which appear complementary to the seller. Pretty pathetic!!

Well, he actually covers customer service here....................

    SPECIAL!
30 day no questions asked refund policy applies to all winners only if these provisions are adhered to and the provisions are as follows: 1) No complaints: Winners who are not satisfied with the transaction are barred from filing a complaint before, during or after requesting a refund. Should a complaint be filed before during or after requesting a refund 2centsin shall regard this act as a breach of trust that is an integral part of the guarantee we offer. As such, the aforementioned act shall render all guarantees null and void including but not limited to any guarantees that grants a buyer the right to return the item. 2) No negative feedback: a negative feedback shall sever any and all business relationship with the person leaving said feedback. In the event that said business relationship ceases to exist any and all guarantees that are inherent in that relationship will be considered a moot point. Therefore, a person who leaves a negative must do so with the knowledge that it will nullify any guarantees from 2centsin 3) Positive feedback: must be given upon agreement that the items shall be accepted for return and a full refund will be made. In no event shall funds be remitted prior to the posting of a positive feedback We believe that if we are to sustain losses in order to satisfy our clients then the client has the responsibility to mitigate that loss consequently the client by requesting and being granted a refund has a moral obligation not to aggravate the loss by leaving a negative feedback especially one that could not be justified. As such the refund policy shall be liberal to those who adhere to its provisions and nonexistent to those who donnot.

He doesn't need good customer service. Your not allowed to complain or leave neg feedback, and if you want any money back when you find out what you got, you gotta leave him a positive!

Again, where is the coin posse????
  • On top of ruining their own sales by listing the questions, I wonder if they are throwing bad money after bad by getting legal advice for their disclaimer/challenge. The tone has gotten more technical, as well as more adversarial, although the bad spelling remains.

This is the same scammer that has the altered 23S SLQ. After someone questioned him or her about it, he added a picture at the bottom of the date. Clearly a different coin. And if you look closely at the picture, you may as yourself where's the mintmark. I asked two questions and got no response. Here's the link.

So, if you bought $20 worth of skank beer, and drank it all, and then vomited all over the place, would that be considered a better use of $20 than buying a coin from this guy?? image

Well Bud, you first start with eBay and draw their attention to all this seller has to say. There ARE rules and regulations for scammers....uh....sellers!image From there you go to the USPS Postal Inspectors and then on to the FBI IFCC. It may take a while but they will bust these people.

When I first became a member of the ebay community I was shafted be Al and Beth Henion and their accomplice, Todd Rabenold of finalfrontier6, a gallery featured ebay store. This was August of 2003 and as you can see I still remember all parties' names and all details because night after endless night I added onto the complaint I had filed with the IFCC. After a while I started lighting into THEIR behinds(the IFCC"S) because there came a point that I thought no one was there and that I was just going thru the motions....but one day a special agent with the the FBI, the Postal Inspectors Office, the Bucks County, PA. DA's office AND the Pa. State Att. Generals' Office ALL called me. Seems they want these people REAL bad and all had read not only my complaint but many, many other peoples' as well that I knew nothing about. Anyway, point is, don't give up. Just be cool and point out their stipulations for customer service which all is blatant, collective "Feedback Extortion." They leave buyers no recourse.

As for his challenge, this is just the first time I read this. I may very well be one to take that challenge. As for the feedback bit, when you contact eBay and go to the help/policies/email section and they read with their own eyes what this guy is saying regarding complaints, blah, blah, blah, this in essence is feedback extortion in it's purest form, yet more rules for sellers being compromised.

I don't know who he THINKS he is with his long winded double talk, but the more he rattles on, the deeper into a world of sit he is a headin'.image If he wasn't guilty and none of these allegations held an ounce of truth, he wouldn't carry on so, now would he? Read his challenge well....it ain't nothin' to prove that which he is daring someone to prove. So, as he says, let's put up or shut up. Frankly, I want in, I'll put up some...any other takers? It will be so easy to smoke him it's downright hilarious. Wonder if he'd talk like that in the Pen with a bunch of Brothers ready to get some of that new ace and make him their _itch? 2centsin wants to play, hey...we can play!!image

Proof, had you happened to read this is the 23-S thread? Here may be part of your answer. Next thing we need is to find a member that lives around this so called Signal Hill, Ca. This was posted by them just the other day and may also be why their mailbox is full. Man, hadn't you read these monkey stipulations and his screwy feedback before you even bid? READ!!

  • The pummeling this poor seller is getting …. Not only is everyone harassing (email full) him BUT his wife, the sons and daughter are getting these malicious attacks also …
    Why???
Just because a few coins he’s sold haven’t been sent out yet
Just because he almost never answers his emails
Just because he sells coins that are a … wee bit questionable
Just because AT to him mean “Attractive Toning”
Just because he is doing everything in his power to make his coins attractive

I read his challenge … Why doesn’t someone challenge him … He really isn’t putting up anything but the person’s money back … Why not challenge him to:
    1. $10,000 for the coins
    2. A neutral third party holds the money in escrow
    3. He scans all the coins in triplicate front and back and each of the three parties get a copy of the scans.
    4. The seller sends all the coins into PCGS for 1 day grading with the coins being returned from PCGS to the escrow agent.
    5. As per the sellers challenge if one coin is body bagged or comes back Artificially Toned or isn’t the coin scanned the seller buys back the coins for $30,000 and eats the grading fees. If they all come back in a PCGS holder then the buyer adds another $20,000 plus grading fees.

    Now that’s a Challenge ….

Just a thought … Put Up or Shut Up
