Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
I'm still looking. I found one to pull the trigger on 3 weeks ago, but the dealer had it in Los Vegas and sold it!! This is the last coin I need for the Basic Type Set.

<< <i>Yes, it is very nice. I would grade it Vf35. It looks like a strong strike with excellent details. Most of the eagles wings feathers are still there. It is so close to an EF. >>
Don't get carried away!
The coin is really solid, classic example of the VF grade with totally original surfaces. It's not really that close to EF, but by today's watered down standards, many people would say that it is. And sadly
It is a nice bust dollar. I'm still saying it is close to EF, but not quite. VF30 and 35 are close to EF40
Yep, I've seen some in EF40 holders that were not true EF's I wouldn't buy them, but then they are out of my price range so I can't buy them anyways.

Agreed. This coin might "market grade" to 35+, and it's certainly worth a premium over the average VF-30, but the technical grade on the holder, IMO, is correct.
One of the primary causes of "gradeflation" is the rampant use of "market grading" of coins that are choice for the technical grade.
