This is a stupid Newbie question - roosie FB?

On roosies... could someone post a coin that qualifies as FB and then one that is not. For some reason I am having a hard time determining the difference and need a little help with it. I am trying to grade some of those toned dimes that were shown here earlier and I am struggling while teaching myself the process.

Thanks a lot

  • Bear in mind the following: SEGS, PCGS, ICG and ANACS require only for the two bands that hold the fasces of the torch together on the reverse of the Roosevelt dime to be well defined, fully split and uninterrupted. NGC requires not only the same, but also that the fasces of the torch be fully split and uninterrupted.

Here is an example of FSB that qualify with NGC (also, therefore, the other services). The photo does not show very well the splits between the fasces of the torch, but they are barely discernable. Any nicks or bridges (of metal) that would connect the fasces or the bands would disqualify this coin as FT/FB/FSB from NGC, while any nickes or bridges on the bands would disqualify it from the other TPGs. Incomplete bands (side to side) will aso disqualify the coin from the designation.
