    A Jefferson Nickel collector.

  • I believe anyone can have their name put on a slab for extra money.

I think he played Sheriff Lobo in the 1980s.

BTW very nice coin. ANACS is very tough on moderns as well as steps.

    Yours?
  • I'm no expert, not even close, but if you look at PCGS/NGC pop reports you'll notice that many high-graded 6-step 5c and FB Roosies have very low numbers in MS. IMO with the emergance of the State Quarter, Frontier Jeffs, commemoratives, and the SAC $1, nickles, dimes, and quarters from (1990-1998) are being overlooked in MS. What I'm saying is that IMO the modern market hasn't settled and thus, pricing that nickel wouldn't be easy, especially in an ANACS slab. JMHO

Isn't he the guy that advertises as "Strange Change" in CW?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I know that. I was kidding. image
  • Charlie Adkins was an active collector in the days of the PAK full step nickel club. He's one of the originals for excellence in collecting the series. I've not met hime, but understand he had one of the finest collections in terms of strike, steps, and eye appeal.
