Name the one or two coins that you need to complete a set that you are working on.

Outside of my collection of 1804 Dollars by die variety
, I normally don't put together sets of any series. But in the past 3/4 months I've been aiming for a set of the moderm commem gold in BU and Proof. At first I only focused on the UNCs because the mintages are soooo low, but when you start looking at the quality of a DCAM Proof couple with the beautiful designs it just made sense to add the Proofs.
I'm missing the Jackie Robinson $5 BU which is about a $2000 coin.
This has been a really fun set to put together.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

J1600 copper half
J 1612 copper dollar
and last but not least
J 1613 silver dollar
I have been working on this set a little over 10 years now 11 down and 3 to go. The "holes" seem to be getting harder to fill.
those are very beautiful dollar patterns
Best,
Billy

I'm nine coins away from completing my modern commemorative uncirculated set. I scored the Jackie $5 before the prices got outrageous for them -- "only" cost me about $600 for it. The big ones I'm missing are the 1995-96 Olympic gold. Maybe next year -- I'm out of cash this year...

Sad, eh? I figure one of these two will be the first (other than birth year) set I complete. Every other series I collect has a lot more than one or two holes and grad school doesn't pay enough to fill 'em.
Three of the most common colonials, and I ain't got 'em.
1795 S-73 to finish my 1795 cents by die variety
1796 S-85 and S-90 to finish my 96 caps
1796 S-96 to finish my 96 draped busts
1798 S-144 to finish my 1798's.
1801 S-217 and 218 to finish my 1801's
1803 S-264 to finish my 1803's.
1884 and 1887 Nickel three cent pieces to finiah that set
1846, 1865, and 1867 to finish my seated half dime set.
Conder tokens
A Gloucestershire 62 to finish that county
Essex 3 and 42 to finish that county (edit: I've gotten the 42)
Monmouthshire 2 to finish that county
Sussex 24 to finish that county (edit: got the 24, country is finished)
Warwickshire 234 to finish my Lady Godiva's
Wiltshire 5 to finish that county
(There are 39 counties, I've finished 15 counties and there are 8 counties were no merchant issued tokens actually for circulation.)
<< <i>Need more than two, but I'd be VERY happy with a 1920-S and 1930-S MS64 Saints!! Boo-coo dolares!!
I notice you didn't mention the '33 you're hiding underground.
42/92
edit - make that 53 of 61, thanks to LordM, Cladiator, and Colridge!
