For me, it's probably about 20% keepers.
Some of the other 80% I've bought to sell at some point, fill holes in sets
with decent examples but hope to upgrade, have already upgraded and
so they are duplicates, etc.

Good thread. It is a goal of mine to have them all PQ keepers for the grade. I can't say that yet, and would guess that only about 50% or so qualify. Unfortunately, being ultra "picky" has alienated me from a few dealers. I mostly cherry pick PQ coins from auction.

I have been much the same way. Sold most of my 'B' box material, mostly to help pay for nicer pieces. I would rather have a small collection of really nice coins, than a large one of average pieces.
Same here. I presently own one to three coins that I am holding to trade or sell. These were all coins that i purchased with the intention of keeping, but they no longer fit or have been replaced.

The other 75% that I sell helps me pay for the 25% I keep.

I went through everything last night and concluded that there are 12 coins out of 74 that I will never sell.
Of the remaining 62, I would sell any that could be upgraded, but there is no guarantee I could ever actually find a better example.
