I agree with you, Sean. It doesn't look like the Class III doubled die we all know and love. The "1" should stick out more on the left side and protrude slightly below the base of the "2". Also, the "4" should show some doubling. It's quite possibly a fake or perhaps some damage that happens to resemble the variety.
