I think these were handed out when SEGS first started. Did SEGS start up around 1999?

I don't know, but a couple here collect sample slabs and are quite up on them. I'm sure they'll see this thread and let us know.

I got some SEGS samples with Statehood quarters in 'em, back around 2000 or so. Used to get 'em with the submission kits.

SES began in 1998. The state quarter sample slabs(as a group) are fairly easy to find, the first SEGS sample slab with the 1955-S cent is much more difficult to fnd.

Wow....Excellent web site, Cameron. I didn't realize there were that many different SEGS sample slab varieties.
