In reference to this Thread: Did This 1955 Doubled Die Sell To Cheaply?

I received the coin yesterday and am pleased. I may eventually cross it over, but for now will simply enjoy owning it. It's definitely AU and authentic! Problem free too. What do you think?

<< <i> It's in an old PCI slab, so you can figure (1) it's genuine, and (2) it grades at least AU50. It may even be a bit nicer in person, you know the book on the 10-digit PCI holders. >>

    Glad I was right. image

Hell of a deal! Gotta love it - surely makes up for any "mistakes" in buyin' for a while for you.

    You SUCK!

Here's a textbook example of someone who could have *easily* doubled their sale price by spending $30 to have it reholdered, even if the grade dropped. The opinion of authenticity is far more important than the grade in the case of this coin.

The previous owner could have spent $15 for an ANACS holder!

The problem wasn't the holder, the problem was that the seller did not know the current value and listed it with a Buy-It-Now price much too low.
