Title Pretty Much Says It All.
Needs to be in good condition.... looking for maybe one of the "clipper" ones that someone doesn't need any more. USED Staplers are great.
Let me know via PM or e-mail... gavitpltw@yahoo.com
Thanks Everyone,
-Greg Ullstam

I believe he's looking for a flat stapler.
For your really big flips...
For your economy flips...
For your photocopied flips...
And last but not least...
For all flips...
Hope this helps!
Cheers,

NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
<< <i>One would think that the bashing he took over the 'WHAAAA....I NEED FLIPS...ANYONE WANNA DONATE???' would teach him a lesson...but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, now he wants to BORROW a freakin' stapler????? Damn, I would love to see the books on this guys first year as a dealer....... but then again, if people keep giving him free stuff and he borrows the rest of the stuff he needs, he wont have any outlay, so MAYBE he DOES know what he's doing....
NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! >>
I was mainly just looking for where to get a stapler and which stapler to buy. Thanks for the advice all.

<< <i>I use a regular stapler and then use non-serrated flat nose pliers. It works really well if you can't afford a flat cinch stapler. You can get flat nose pliers at Sear's or cheap like me at Harbor Freight Tools. Love Harbor Freight for cheap tools as long as you don't need them for everyday heavy use.

I have been using a "clipper" stapler for years and then use the needlenose pliers to crimp em. I was wondering if anyone knows of a stapler that can handle about 50,000 flips without breaking (approx. 150,000 staples). The "clipper" stapler originally cost me $60.00 about 3 or 4 years ago and it has been a good tool. After it broke I tried buying one of those cheap walmart staplers (paid like $6.99) but it started not being able to make clean stapling after the forst 100 or so. So i am already down another 7 bucks for a bum stapler.
Who made your standard stapler?
Thanks,

You have 50,000 coins to place into flips? Unless you're putting memorial pennies into them, I think you'll be set to make enough money to buy a heavy duty flat-cinch stapler
Good luck with that inventory management, though!

The majority of the coins going into flips are the commen garbage like jeff's and mem's. I sell those pretty well at the shows. I mean buying a coin for a dime and a flip for 2 cents and selling it for a quarter is only making 13 cents but if you sell 1000 of them at every show it sure helps out. And as for those kind of items I can staple them at 2 in the morning or whenever else I have extra time.
Thanks,

That's a lot. I've used about 7,000 of the 11,000+ 2x2s I've bought this year. It took quite a while to staple, grade, and price that 2x2s.
In the long run, you are not going to profit on this method.
You are going to be left with way too much common "junk".
You should go for another angle.
If I were you I would list all your stuff on ebay in huge lots.
After you sell it all, then start buying quality stuff, that people
would be proud to own. I guarantee, you'll get many more repeat
buyers, who will come back again and again...
That's just my opinion, do as you wish!
And, Good luck.

I understand that..... I try to cover them both actually. I also do the PCGS, ANACS, and others. I do buy the quality stuff also. But their still are a lot of people out there looking for those raw common items. I sold at least 80 bucks of that common stuff at my last show and about 50 of it was profit. I can't argue with 50 bucks profit for some stuff I can still find in circ. I understand exactly what you are saying.... if I only did the common date stuff their would be no way for me to make it..... but thats exactly the reason that I do both. I try to keep focused and not tie up to much of my money in the cheap stuff.... for ex.... I only have about 50 bucks in state quarters.... their is not enough profit to be made in it.... I do have repeat customers and have been gettting calls on almost a daily basis with people wanting more "stuff". (both common and rare). I try to play as many fields as possible to get the highest profit I can.
Thanks for the advise.

<< <i>If you are LOOKING for WHERE to buy a stapler, then ASK that....but I DO see (or borrow) in your header. Same sh*t, different day..... >>
I should have clarified that..... I figured their might be someone out there in the midwest area that could just let me borrow their until I the one I bough came in. The place I usually get my supplies... only ships on Saturdays and then with the shipping delay I would not get it until prolly a week from now. I really need one sooner then that. Sorry for the confusion.... I will change the header.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention,

Email me your address, and I'll be happy to personally hand deliver a stapler to you. Do you need staples too? Would you like me to card up 30-40,000 2 X 2's for you in my spare time..... I can probably get a few days off work if you'd like..... Should I bring sandwiches ??? Do you like bologna, or bologna with cheese??? Any preference about mustard, mayo, or Miracle Whip ??? Has anyone seen my meds???

P.S. Why did Webster waste his time writing that book of his? Someone please send this guy a FREE dictionary.
I have your problem solved. You have 50,000 coins ( pocket change ) which at the least ( 1c ) amounts to $500. You also have 50,000 holders at 2c each which amounts to $1000. Cash it all in, buy a stapler and some real coins that are worth collecting.
<< <i>Cash it all in, buy a stapler and some real coins that are worth collecting. >>
All coins are worth collecting but some aren't worth selling ebcause there is no real profit in them. Stick with $5 an up coins and try to stock nicer $20 and up coins and you will make a lot more profit in 25 transactions than you would in 100 $0.50 transactions. Plus the time and effort of stapling 50,000 flips is crazy. Buy 100 better coins and you will do so much better.

I like covering all basis.... 1/2 of my money is in the nicer stuff and 1/2 is in the cheaper stuff. I like covering as many areas as I can..... and so far.... that is WORKING for ME. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks,

You might have posted that in jest, but that's actually sound business advice given Greg's situation.

My local dealer in town uses a regular stapler, and then "crimps" the staples flat using a sheet-metal working tool you can buy at any hardware store. I thought it was something he had hand-made for him. But no, he told me it is a sheet metal crimping tool. It looks similar to a pliers, but is about 2-3" wide and flat on the bottomw pinchers. He also got it spring loaded so it opens back up automatically. He let me try it out, and it really works great. It very quick, plus his has lasted for over 20 years. So try it out.
