10 reasons I enjoy the PCGS US Coin Forum (with giveaway)-WINNERS (FINALLY) ANNOUNCED

It has been about two years that I first checked into the US Coin Forum. I have thought about the many positive attributes of participating here, and I have come up with a list of ten reasons why I enjoy it here and will continue to come back:
It's a great place...
1. To see a lot of cool coins.
2. To learn about all aspects of collecting--buying, selling, grading, attributing, history, photography, to name a few.
3. To enjoy the comaraderie and friendship of fellow collectors (and dealers, too).
4. To share the excitement of a new purchase--especially someone else's.
5. To gain greater insight about the human condition (ebay mishaps, lawsuits, and other mostly petty conflicts).
6. To help newbies or less experienced collectors (as others have helped me and continue to do so).
7. To take a break from an otherwise busy life and immerse myself in coin talk whenever I want.
8. To learn about up-to-the-minute goings on in the world of coins (show reports, market reports, etc.).
9. To make buying/selling contacts.
Okay, I can only think of nine.
How about some help with #10? Three ideas I like best will receive a recent auction catalog and a silver quarter.

Wow, I just noticed I broke 1,000 posts posted!
It's hard to imagine I've been doing it all this time with having all this fun and stuff.
<< <i>To allow dealers and collectors to communicate/interact in ways they might not otherwise be able to.... which often leads to a better understanding of and appreciation for one another. It need not be "us against them". >>
Oh yeah???? Then how come you PM me all the time telling me that you just flushed some more roosies down the toilet??????

Mark has nothing against you, Frank. He just has something againts roosies. BTW, how do you pronounce "roosies"--like it is spelled or like "rosies". I think I just hijacked my own thread

I am not easy
My 10: To learn and talk about coins while having fun at the same time.

Congrats on your milestone.

1) I've met people who have the same interests as I do
2) Got great advice on improving my photography of coins
3) Long time dealers are here for picking their brains
4) The PICTURES!
BTW, this holds for the NGC forum I participate in also. Especially #1.
That's not ten but they are the most important.

10. Perspective - not matter how right or wrong you may think you are, the forum demonstrates that there is always someone on either extreme, which demonstrates you (or I) are not as "far out" as we may have thought we were.

Typical Cameron. I send him a DVD with 50,000 babes on it and he is still looking for more!
10. To breathe some fresh numismatic air! Many of us likely spend a lot of our time in worlds where true numismatic air is a rare commodity

Actually, to be able to post esoteric questions about coins and get several knowledgable answers in a very short period of time is one of the main reasons I enjoy this forum.
Prooflike: 10. (For) A laugh every now & then.
(that was going to be my number 10, until I decided to make the contest. If it were not so funny here, I would be gone. As I have said before, Russ is one of the funniest people I know.)
Newmismatist: 10. To use the knowledge that you've acquired from this forum to take your collecting to a higher lever!
(a good wrap-up of the overall experience here--the forum makes you a better collector)
Longacre: 10. To understand the depth of knowlege among collectors on the board, and entice me to strive to learn as much or more than others.
(lots of smart coin people here--the forum pushes you to learn more.)
Runners-up:
Airplanenut: 10. To learn to appreciate that the hobby isn't about how much money someone has, but how they use however much money they have.
(Jeremy is a charitable and generous young man, and while I appreciate his sentiment, it is not one of my main thrusts here.)
Marcmoish: 10. To read the 9 reasons RYK likes CU Forums and break my head with everyone else trying to figure out what the 10th reason should be.
(Sorry, and I hope your head feels better.)
Coinguy1: 10. To allow dealers and collectors to communicate/interact in ways they might not otherwise be able to.... which often leads to a better understanding of and appreciation for one another. It need not be "us against them".
(Excellent point, and if he were not one of "them", he might have been a winner.)
Winners, please PM your address to me, and I will get you your auction catalog and quarter ASAP.
Good picks!
