Very nice I'll say MS65RD; the dies were dirty when this coin was struck which accounts for the volume of very small ticks on the obv IMO. A nice full strike and looks like strong luster it could go 66.
It's a nice 65RD. The marks on the obverse and spots on the reverse will keep it out of 66. The scale is slightly different on 1909 than on other early Lincolns because so many ended up in MS red grades.
I would say more than a solid 66RD would love to see it in person to see if it was a shot 67 coin. Gorgeous surfaces, nice luster, super strike, awesome coin. The only thing that is holding this back is the color, I would really like to see what it really looks like, got a digital photo so we can see the true luster and color, scans just don't cut it?
I bought it several years ago on EBay and I'm perty sure it was advertised as a solid ms-65 & possible 66. It may have been my first ever EBay purchase too. I believe your estimates are very much in line. Thanks.
