Been following this team since they were the Colt .45's. This is the first time in 42 years they have gotten this far.
Was lucky enough to get tickets to the Sunday game. Took young 9 year old son Travis to his first professional baseball game and his first time in Minute Maid Park. Needless to say, we had a ball!
I have to say that in all my 50 years of watching baseball, this is was the most exciting baseball game I have ever seen or will ever experience in person. My ears are still ringing from the noise and I could hardly talk all day at work.
Dropped about $200 in memorbillia that I will probably never see again if it takes them another 42 years to get there.
Game 5 is on in about 45 minutes.
GO ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I meant to post this on the open forum for the OT police.

<< <i>Fortunately for you yesterday, I watched part of the game, and when I have done that, the Cardinals lose...........so, fer a cool coin I will be sure to tune in again tonight!!! >>
Bless you! We need all the help we can get!
And keep it in the right forum here's an "astro"nomically high price coin (for me anyway).
Keith
Very nice 89 CC by the way!!
Keeping on topic - coins ...... I opened my nickels that I won in your contest. I am putting them in the little holders with the Peace nickel for Christmas gifts for the grandkiddies. Not a 70 in the bunch!
Now I need to find about 15 uncirculated Sacs for their little holders. If anyone reads this and has any for sale, shoot me a PM. I don't need anything fancy - just BU. I don't want to open my mint set to do this.
I see a Yankees vs Astros series in my future.
Never thought I would live long enough.

I seem to remember that the Houston Astros were once called the Colt-45's in 1962 and 1963. I also remember the New York Mets was short for Metropolitans.
As a Met fan back in the early to mid 60's, I remember hating the 45ers/Astros since they had a better team and record than the Mets.
But back in 62 and 63, all we cared about was beating the Giants in the Polo Grounds even though the Mets were always in dead last place!!!
I still remember Frank Thomas beating the Giants in the 9th inning in a July game 9-7 at the Polo Grounds! I was so excited.
I don't know anything about football, but the Astros seem like a nice team.

Yeah how about em..... They lost!!!!!!!!!
<< <i>I don't know if I can take another NLCS loss for Cards. The Astros got past the Braves this year and got their first postseason series win, so just be happy with that. Williams vs. Backe I like the Cards chances. >>
