Actually if I were a dealer, I'd be bankrupt in about 3 weeks time. Buy high and sell low, that's my motto.

    For US:

    Tom Reynolds
    Jim McQuigan

    For colonials:

    Dave Wnuck

But I'll buy the right coin from anyone - well, just about anyone.

  • Some of my personal favorites and what they sell:

Rick Snow - FE & IHCs and FE & IHC Patterns
    Rick Kay - Patterns
Brian Wagner - FE & IHCs (used to be Rick Snow's partner, now on his own)
    Jim Stoutjesdyk (Heritage) Everything
Joe O'Connor Ninteenth Century Type and Gold
    Everyone at ANR - Everything
    Leon Hendrickson (Silvertown) - Everything
    Katy Duncan (Pinnacle) - Everything
    Mike DeFalco - Toned Coins
    Jason Stevens - Toned Coins
    Bryan Orsborn - Toned Coins
    Dick Abrahams - Toned Coins
    Andy Kimmel - Toned Coins
    John Danruther - Everything
    Jeff Garrett - Everything
    Ken Duncan - Proof Gold
    Mark Yaffe - Proof Gold
    John Schuch - Everything
    Andy Lustig - Patterns

I've probably forgotten many excellent dealers, but all of the above persons have, over the years, been willing to spend time with this "Newmismatist" - offer criticism, compliments, share their knowledge so that I could learn and occassionally even sell me coins, and sometimes buy my coins so I could buy theirs (or others). I've never had a bad experience with any of the above dealers, and some like Leon Hendrickson I've had dealings with going back to the late 60's

As I think about all the dealers with whom I've had dealings, there's 100's of good experiences for the very few negative transactions. But then you really can't count on what I say - I'm a coinaholic and the above named are a few of my suppliers image

  • Hi,

While I have not bought $50,000 coins from them I did buy all 4 of my 10c from DLRC and received excellent service and assistance from Jack Robinson and Ruth is very helpful as well. Very accomodating place IMHO. Free shipping doesn't hurt either. And, most importantly, the coins look better in hand! They have gotten much better with photography - but the coins still look better in hand!

    Best,
    Billy
