MCCS 1962 Franklin PR69 DCAM

image

Before I knew anything about Grading, still don't know shat, or about TPG's, I picked this up. Is it worth cracking out or crossing? Let the "Bashing" begin. It's ok though. I didn't do my research, like many others don't, and jumped right in to coin collecting. So I'm willing to take my lumps. Thanks, Lee

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I must agree with Sheriff Sample Slob. The best you could hope for (on a good day) is a 67, and it's borderline CAM... might go, might not.

    PR69? DCAM? Fuhgeddaboutit.

I won't berate you for the mistake, as we all have made some.

But let me draw your attention to a visual comparison that's been made before, both by myself and others... image

Isn't it interesting, the shape they chose for their holders?

Not a bad looking coin, actually, but I sure hope he didn't pay PCGS PR69 DCAM money for it! image

Pictures are terrible. How can anyone grade based on that? JMO.

Well PCGS price for PR65 DCAM and PR67CAM is the same, so it might work out for you. image

My gut reaction from looking at those photos is that it wouldn't make cam at either pcgs or ngc. Regarding the exact grade, there's no way to tell without having the coin in hand. But I would guess there would be hairlines or spots that would keep it around 67 or lower........
