How many Morgans has PCGS graded poor?

Can't tell from the on line population report. Seems to me it would be near impossible to find a Morgan to grade under almost good since the dates get worn off.

  • No one really knows except PCGS because the pop reports don't show that low.

This has been a bone of contention with me for awhile. Forget Morgans for just a moment, what about key date coins such as the 1916-D Mercury or the 1796 Bust quarter? Wouldn't having information as to the pop reports of these coins not only in PO01, but also FA02 and AG03 and GD04 be useful?

Now, regarding Morgans, you're right. Finding these that are absolutely problem free yet still show enough detail to allow a date and, a MintMark! is difficult. If the dollar shows enough detail to identify as the date and MM it generally also shows enough detail to place it well outside the PO01 class.

I know Craig has one he has imaged and if he logs on soon enough I'm sure will display it for you.

Pat doesn't have all of them... I have 2!
    When in doubt, don't.
