Dr. Duckor’s second set of Saints includes many of the same coins that were in his first set, which is cited in the OP. Plus, there are some exciting, relatively new additions, including coins purchased at the Morse sale in Nov. 2005.
If Duckor’s second set had a 1927-D, it would rank above the first set in the PCGS Set Registry and above Simpson’s set. Dr. Duckor’s second set will be auctioned on Jan. 5, 2012:
I once had the opportunity to see Steve Duckor's Barber Halves and many of his top-end Saints and $10 Indians when visiting a coin show. We viewed them at a bank, Dale Friend and I, and were absolutely amazed at the quality of the coins and the kindness of Steve in sharing his coins and our stories about Barber Halves. Steve has sold his Barbers (I now have four of them that I am grateful to have purchased) and now he is selling his Saints. I plan to be there in Florida at FUN to attend the auction and watch the magic as his $20 works of art get sold for new records (I predict, an easy prediction).
Steve Duckor is a gentleman, nice guy, and a collector extrordinaire!
Congrats to Dr. Duckor for building this amazing set of Saints.....I had the honor of seeing these coins and appreciate the effort, time and care taken to assemble this forever memorable group of coins. Thanks Steve for being my mentor and friend! Best of luck in the sale although I don't think you will need any.....
