1877 Seated Lib. CC - Doubling?

I recently purchased this CC Seated quarter. I noticed that it had some doubling on the digits 77. Is this a common item?

Here is the best that I can get. The resolution is not too bad, but you can see the doubling at the bottom of the 7's.

    Thanks for the assistance.

  • There's the doubled punched and triple punched 7's, 1877 CC.
They're scarce. More people collecting varieties now, so you'd get some amount of a premium for it.
I have at least one of each in the 600 or so Seated Quarters in my collection.
Oh, by the way, there's also an 1877/77 from the Philadelphia mint. I discovered it a few years ago and wrote it up in the Gobrecht Journal. I have 2 of them. It's rare, but nowhere near as pronounced repunching as on either of the CC's.
