This is a new category for September, for the most interesting finds made without a detector, and in true "wild card" fashion, it can include coins found on the surface or even in circulation, and just about anything else, even nonmetallic objects such as pottery, fossils, minerals, bottles, etc., just to name a few.

You "treasure hunters" who don't have detectors are welcome to compete in future "Wild Card" category competitions from now on, so come on over and join the fun!

$40.08 from medal detecting? When I go detecting I usually just find a dollar or two (and that is if I'm lucky). Looks like windwhisperer had a pretty good month as well. That barber pop-out is pretty cool, too. All these cool finds are making me want to get out the old detector.

LordM, when you decide on a course of action you become a human dynamo! You have almost single-handedly rescued the detecting forum from the moribund state it was in. That forum now sees much more activity and the images of the forums finds seem to have non-detecting folks interested in 'treasure' hunting.
Congratulations to you for your successful efforts and continued participation in the other forums as well.

That's TOTAL face value for the month. Pocketpiececommems won the first two months in a row, and got over $80.00 one month!
