Modern Guys: Where do you get your submittable Circulation Strike material?

Do you get your circulation strike material from Mint Sets or from Rolls? Which is better?
For instance, could the two 2000-D 50c pieces that I pulled from 12 rolls ever equal one of the coins in a Mint Set, or do I have a chance of hitting a MS67 with a roll coin?
I really like working through rolls and picking out the best for submission, but maybe it's not the way to go.
Right now, I've got 2 2000-D 50c and 2 2004-D FL 25c in at PCGS. I guess I'll find out how I'm doing when I get those back.

mint sets is like shooting fish in a barrel. Clean coins of most dates can be found in sets and are
common for a few coins. Good strikes can be found in rolls but are tough for most dates. Rolls of
the clad dimes and quarters are virtually non-existent so you'll have to get these from sets.
Slabs are becoming an increasingly good place to find coins. It can be very expensive to look in
rolls or sets and the prices of many of the slabs in just missed grades can easily be the least ex-
pensive way to acquire these coins.
Good luck.

Mint sets and rolls, but mostly mint sets.

If you sweet talk the nice teller she might throw in some free flips also

The "free flip" comment was the funny the first 3 times you posted it. Then it was a tad bit annoying the next 5 times. Now you're crossed over the bridge into Dorkville.

Bank Rolls. I used to pick up rolls of state quarters and whatever else I could find and go through them for high grades. I've made many quarters that were worth hundreds each this way. (Now I live in Belgium... may need to try this in Euros, and have the #1 Belgium Euro Set... hmmm)
Rolls from the mint. Haven't noticed any difference from bank rolls, other than cost is higher.
Mint Sets. Can be higher quality than rolls, but no t always. Sometimes a coin will be awful in all 20 sets I buy. Better chance of high grades when these are fresh from the mint or unsearched.
E-Bay purchases--beleive it or not! I bought a modern raw that was worth 4 figures after put in a PCGS slab!
