Opinion on Seated Dollar, please

I got this coin, for my type set, on approval from one of my favorite dealers. He described it as PQ with very few marks, and it was priced accordingly. Looking at the coin, I do see a number of marks in the obverse fields, somewhat obscurred by the toning. The reverse is extremely clean. However, not knowing anything about Seated Dollars, I would appreciate opinions. If it matters, the coin is in an ANACS AU55 slab, and will be cracked out and placed in my Dansco 7070, if I decide it's a keeper. Thanks.

Now for my disclaimers:
I have no way to know if there is any cleaning (which is not apparent in the images) or how bad the obverse marks are, in person, however.
Unless you (or someone who can view the coin in person for you) are expert in this area, I'd advise caution when purchasing an uncertified example in this price range.
I cracked out a PCGS XF 40 for my Dansco that had obviously been cleaned at some point, but was still market acceptable and a nice looking coin. Yours holds up to standard in my opinion.
personally, i would pass on that coin at au-55 money though.

Grade looks about right from the image; you have some wear on the eagle's rt. wingtip, and on the obverse, Ms. Liberty's lt. breast appears to have a bit of wear. Can't tell re her rt. knee & thigh, which is another area to look.
There are large, heavy coins. Most of them at MS 63 & below are going to have noticeable contact / bag marks. Have seen MS 62s with more contact marks than what appears on the obverse image of this coin. What's unusual about your coin is that there appear to be no marks on the reverse above the eagle. This is a very wide open field, and usually, it has the worst contact marks you see on the coin.

I like it, but since its a question of value, that is something you have to decide.
The only thing I find distracting is the arm scratch - it's just that my eye is drawn to it. My no motto type is an 1843 AU50 and it also has a large scratch in the left field like on this coin.
If you are happy with the price and like the coin keep it. It looks like a keeper to me

I would disagree slightly. There are quite a few marks on the obverse, and I wouldn't call that coin PQ.
However, that bein' said, I do like it. As the Dork mentioned, it has a nice strike. And these do tend to be scuffy. I had an 1842 in an ANACS AU50 holder in my old type set, and it was far scuffier looking than the piece you have there. Yours does look pretty nice overall. If the price was right, I would call it a keeper.
