Local Dealer Allowing Me to Cherrypick Mint Sets Need Avice

Just need some advice on which mint sets I should be on the lookout for. My local dealer is allowing me to go through and cherrypick mint sets tomorrow. Just curious to know if there's any I should really keep an eye out for. I'm not too attune to moderns.
Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

    Do you know how to grade moderns even if we told you what dates? How can you cherrypick then?

    I always start with the sets which have been subjected to the least cherry picking like
    the '69, '81, '72, '71, '79 and '80. Then go for the the heavily checked sets. If the early
    ones look original then I'll skip ahead to the Ike sets and SMS's.

    If you can, get all the packets of a single date and mint mark together and check each
    denomination in order. This allows the gems to jump out at you and speeds the process.
    Also watch for the numerous varieties which appear in sets. Even the common ones
    should be pulled out since often they aren't readily available in rolls. There are many more
    than on this list but these are some of the better or more likely ones to find;
    Cents. '70-S sd, '70-S/S
    Dimes. '68 DDO, '69-D/D, '70-D DDR,
    Quarters. '67 DDO, '70-D DDR, '80-P type "d' reverse,
    Halfs. Numerous doubled dies in the SMS's, '65 RR, '66 No Initials, '70-D DDR, '71-D DDO,
    '74-D DDO, '89-D/D

    Watch for any PL and gem coins. Be sure to compare each coin to coins of the same date
    since quality varies from year to year.

    If the dealer will let you then mix and match so the entire set is good. It's worth doubling
    the premium.

    I can grade, I've cherrypicked some based soley on condition, but I do know there are some that have a higher value ratio based on pop tops, but I don't have access to the pop report so I was curious to know what year sets I should really be on the lookout for.

    I'm also afraid Russ and Marty is reading this and when I show up tomorrow I'll hear of two crazed guys who took an early flight in from SeaTac who already rummaged through the lots.

    I have the best luck looking for cameos on the 65,66 and 67 mint sets. I look for super high grade coins in Mint sets dated 1984 and later. An easy coin is the 1996-W Dime so make sure you look at the 1996 mint sets. I've tried finding high grade coins in the 68-81 mint sets but never had any luck. I've never looked for varieties but understand 74-D doubled die halves are found in mint sets.

    My advice is to know what minninmum grade you are looking for before you start. My advice for minnimum grades are as follows;

    1c MS67 or better
    5c MS65FS or better (1965-1970 MS66 or better.. FS VERY RARE!!!)
    10c MS67 or MS66FB
    25c MS67 (1982-1994 MS66 or better)
    50c MS66-67
    Ike's MS65 or better
    SBA$ MS67
    Sac's MS68

    Don't cherrypick for grades, its boring. Cherrypick for varities, tons of fun. It is what I used to do when I was a young collector.
