I'll bet I could make a cool icon with that pic.

But sorry I don't like it, even if it is NT.

  • Interesting, K6AZ is logged on. I wonder why he hasn't rendered an opinion in any of these threads? I've picked really easy coins.
  • Might be a combination of AT & NT. But very ugly coin indeed. image

Yeah...what gives? Never-the-less, post something that's more difficult to determine. So far you have been way too easy. image

  • I appreciate the opinions of the folks who have posted but I'm surprised that some of the folks who are experts who helped us out in the $7500 Morgan thread aren't here.
  • interesting all the opinions. Making Anaconda justify his case and looking good. IF you all are experts on AT or NT, why all the different answers? The AT and NT...now that's funny. I suppose it's a MS and PF???

  • Probably NT. Anyone any good at AT could have made it look better than that.

The only 'expert' consensus here is that it's one ugly looking coin. oh yeah...NT since the mean old grumpy one refuses to play.

Xpipe -- how did you get that one through the censor????image
    Doug
  • You're not really being fair here Anaconda. They could only say the "$7500 coin" was AT because it had shown up previously in an ANACS slab stating so. Had it not shown up in that slab beforehand, I doubt they would've have cried foul. Now, to be fair you have to show the ANACS slab it was busted out of so the "expert" opinions will show?

I say NT, but what do I know. I like bidding on stuff Poe58 offers. If that slabbed gold of his gets relisted in 2 weeks I'm gonna grab it.

I trust anyone answering NT is doing so in jest?? This is as blatant an AT coin as you will find.

At the risk of the wrath of many, I feel compelled to make the following statement:

Anaconda/Adrian, for a lawyer, for an adult, you have sure been acting childish the last number of months, particularly the last few days.
I don't know if you have always been like this or just lately. I don't know if it is after you "smoke your bong" as you say you long to do.
    Doesn't matter.

You like the drama, you like playing things up and not being concise and to the point. And, you like acting like a child it would appear. Your multiple threads and the way you go about trying to make your point is pretty juvenile.
Your posts were once cool to read and look at nice coins and comments. Now, they are thinly veiled barbs at people. Now, they are immature. Now, they are no longer worth it.

I know my posts don't matter to you and that is fine. But, I don't think anyone has told you the truth about your posting.....maybe you just think it is funny and you are having your 2nd childhood. Don't know. I do hope you will actually think about it and maybe grow up a bit. Up to you. Free world. I won't even charge you $150 for the time I took to type this...unlike some attorneys who charge outlandish amounts for wasted time image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • In my opinion it's AT.

It's graded by SEGS as MS-66.
  • AT-Iodine and heat. Turns black and cracks over time. NGC calls it CA art toning. Bunch came out in the late 80's.

But thats just my opinion! image

TBT, from the images at least, the coin in this thread does not look to have come from the group/source you mentioned. "But thats just MY opinion!"image

Thank you so much for your advice. I'm so sorry if I've gotton on your nerves.

It's guys like you that can help guys like me become guys like you.

Did you know you're not the first person in the last 42 years to tell me that I act like a child?

I've been thinking about growing up. I've been thinking about that for around 30 years now. I'm going to keep thinking about it.

But in the meantime, I'm going to play and have fun. I get socked in the eye from time to time but that's what happens on the playground. But I prefer the playground to the graveyard. Or the law library.

  • Looks AT to me. Just because it's been slabbed doesn't mean it is NT, though. It may have been slabbed at a time before the AT cretins went to work ripping people off or it may have been toned in the slab like someone here tried to show us could be done.

    Doug,

I did take that as a "thinly veiled" threat and told Adrian so in a PM (he PM'ed the same thing he posted to me.
I hadn't got around to this thread since then and was surprised.
Adrian, I thought the PM you sent me was special for me...didn't know you shared it with everyone image

I think Adrian and I have straightened out the "intent" of that PM/post......as I told him, ".....law library" didn't scare me (threat or not)...I played in one long enough over 10 years ago.
No, I am not a lawyer. Yes, thought about it at one point.

I will paraphrase 1 thing that I said to Adrian in PMs that I think others should think about as well....
"put yourself in the other person's shoes"....in this case, he didn't think "....law library" could be interpretted as a threat. I believe most logical people, especially those that don't know "you" (whoever states something like that) would interpret it as a threat.

That is meant to be general and using this item for illustrative purposes only image

If it's in a SEGS slab (no offense to Larry) I would have to go with AT, crack it and send it to PCGS and see what you get! BTW, that is one FUGLY coin!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    • BigEBigE Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭
This coin is NT and it will slab at PCGS most likely as a 65 because of the nicks on the face. I have a set of 46's that slabbed with identical toning. This is a truly original coin, and part of its value, to me at least, is that it has never been dipped---------------------BigE

Nothing's lamer than reviving a thread to have a personal attack attached to it.....now I know why many board members dislike you and don't respect you....you have earned that by being so lame.
