Can anyone give me the lowdown on the 1920 and 1921 Pilgrim Commem coins?
Was this a 2 year issue or was it like the 1892 / 1893 Columbian Expo ?

Net Mintage
1920 - 152,000
1921 - 20,000

You're Welcome.
The Pilgrim Commem is one of my favorites, but interestingly they were not real popular at the time and they ending up having 128,000 out of the combined mintage of 300,000 returned to the mint. These of course were melted. 80,000 were of the 1921 date leaving its low mintage of 20,000.
BTW....Nice Pilgrims.

Not mine I wish they were but i lifted the pics off ebay for comparison.
I'm thinking i want one of these to go into my type set, next to my 1926 Oregon.
Now if i can just find one affordable

What do you mean? The Columbian Expo half was a two year issue.

Conder101,
It's my understanding that the mint started production on these commem's in 1892 for the Dedication Ceremony of October 21, 1892, but since the construction of the worlds fair didn't finish until April / May 1, 1893 (opening day), they re-tooled and minted more with the official 1893 worlds fair starting date.
I've heard differing opinions on the "2 year issue" subject but generally it seems most accept that the coins were minted for one purpose, to Commemorate the 1893 Worlds Fair.
Since the mint lists two different years and two different mintage amounts then i guess it could be called a '2 year issue'.
