Greetings fellow forumites......I just joined (platinum PCGS Collectors Club)....I am a Walker half nut....amongst other things, but mostly halves in general. I have bought & sold on EBAY (seller name rlamir) but not really a dealer, just selling stuff from my collection that I remove as I upgrade. Also stuff I get on EBAY that I get at what I call a tremdous bargin that I can turn a profit hopefully(or not ).
I've been collecting since about 1959. Got started one of 2 ways as I don't remember...1) finding a 1943 cent in my mom's penny poker pile or earlier when I helped chop up an 1800's piano that had been in our family since new...as we chopped, a bunch 10-12 indian cents popped out. so there you have it
Now My first Question...........Anyone know where I can obtain/purchase Bruce Scot's 'The complete guide to Walking Liberty Half Dollars"........I saw one on EBAY months ago and it went for $62.........I'd give that for one now....
Now the 2nd question...... I have 8 'free' submissions to PCGS. I searched this forum, emailed PCGS and could not get a a straight answer..... I have Many walkers that are raw that should come in High grade...ie: 2 1938's, one should come in MS66 or 67 another at least 65 plus others (and I am conservative). My concern is taking them out of the airtights they're now housed in and slipping them in the flips PCGS gives you......Question is, what is the best way to package your coin to best protect it?????? Can I insert into there're flip a stapled 2X2/airtight container etc.......
Anyways..... I am proud to now be a part of this fourm and hope to participate often......best regards and look forward to future participation.....Thanks.....Rick

First and most important - NO STAPLES
Staple scratches have ruined more coins the ToneCoin2003.
Put the coins in the SafeFlips PCGS supplied (don't slide them in - that can damage them). Then put 2-3 in a Safe-T-Mailer, rubber band them up along with your submission form and send them via Registered Mail to PCGS.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
