I got Burned by Ebayer!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the winning bid on Item#3923807317, BU/RED roll of 50, 1944- D Wheats, Tell me you guys, BU/RED, doesn't mean green spots and corrosion, it means, BU/Red, and no fingerprints, This Guy say i didn't get them from him, but, it's the only 44-d BU/RED i have bought, and I tried to contact him for a month, kept denying i got them from him, but , he sure knew the amount i paid. I gave him a neutral feedback, and stated some things are best left un-said, and wysIsn'twyg, he hit me with a rhetoric, Negative saying, I didn't know how to grade coins, my reply, was that BU/RED coins 90% don't have green spots, scan availible on request, I don't know if i am allowed to use the sellers name, but, eye for an eye, beware of , coins-and-cards-auctions, he has some similiar feedback already. Maybe BU/RNED should have been his description.?

  • Not surprising, happens all the time. See tons of threads here weekly with just these types of comments and titles.

It's truly funny, no make that truly sad, that people in this day and age are so wrapped up in their own little world that they refuse to try and teach someone else the correct or accepted way of doing things.

I Just looked at one of the seller's responses to a neutral:

I just love new ebayer's who don't have a clue. Checks are held 10 business days

Yeah -- someone who responds to customer concerns like this is really someone I'm going to buy from...

By the way: Got any pictures of this "junk" you received?

Yes I am sure there are many stories that can be told that would be exceptions to my rule but I don't like surprises and I don't believe in Santa Claus.

Rule: Never ever bid on an auction where the actual item is not displayed (especially if there is no listed return policy). Follow that rule and you will severly cut down on the number of eBay surprises.

To be accurate, a coin CAN be considered BU Red and still have fingerprints and/or some spotting. All BU Red implies is that the coin is brilliant unc. and red, not a high grade or 100% problem free.

However the seller should have disclosed the spotting and prints in his auction IMO.

    "coins-and-cards-auctions"

The name sounds like a clearinghouse.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
