I've been lurking for couple months now soaking in all the great info available on this forum. I'm currently working on a Dansco type set but my heart is just not in it anymore. The problem is, all the holes in the set are coin series that I really do not have much interest in. Instead of the "thrill of the hunt" finding a nice coin to fill the hole it's becoming more of chore. Has anyone else had this same problem?
I'm thinking maybe just pare it down to a 15 to 20 coin type set of coins I really like or maybe even just a super nice type set of Halves. I really like all the U.S. Halves... well maybe not the Franklin (sorry Lucy ).
But the REAL reason I signed up for the forum is that I have a serious question that needs answering.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY WON'T PCGS ATTRIBUTE AND SLAB MY PMM QUARTER!?!?!?!
Nah... just kiddin. Scared ya though, did'nt I?

You shouldn't talk about the Frankies like that--
Lucy will get you.
Besides you might just end up liking them.
I have a 1955 (my birthyear) sitting on my desk I am becoming more and more fond of everyday.
It just shines and glistens at me--I think I will send it in for an upgrade--MS66 and getting better every day.

The key is to collect what you like and love what you collect.

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't an optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me....
This is what, your third incarnation?
I just need to set some sort of guideline to my collecting. I'm the sort that will impulse buy at random if I don't set down some rules. Which would end with the sort of collection that I'm trying to avoid. No worries and no rush, I will get this figured out. Mainly just wanted to introduce myself and get registered.
LM, uhhh yeah 3rd. I'd show you a picture of my infamous PMM but... sorry. It's for sale.
Seriously, how could anyone that has been reading this forum for a couple months NOT know about the PMM variety.

Collect whatever you enjoy even if it's not frankies.
There are lots of great things to collect so why collect anything that's lost its thrill for you?
you must've been hiding your head in the sand or somethin'.
