interesting error coin

This is one of two known Pattern Decimal Crowns. It was struck on an Irish 10 Shilling Planchet with a lettered edge. The obverse depicts the design from the 10 Pence and the reverse has the Gothic Crown design from the 1847 Gothic Crown.

Oooo not my coin no sir. It would be wishful thinking on my part. This coin here has a price tag of about $10,000. Just a wee bit to rich for my blood

Fantastic. I'd never seen that before.

Even before I read your post, I looked at that slightly concave planchet in the picture and immediately thought of the Irish 10s coin.
