DMPL??? Cleaned, Would a dipping help?? UNC? HELP please

Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

    I ignored the majority recently in buying a raw DMPL and got burned. I don't care, though. I knew it was a lottery ticket going in. That photo doesn't show the mirrors to good effect. The head and the eagle look white enough, but without a pic clearly showing the mirror finish in the fields, I wouldn't bid on a raw DMPL again.

    the fields are kinda hazy, wondering if a quik dipperuni would do........I have never dipped anything except in acetone and am aching to try it.

    NO! Don't dip a DMPL. It ruins the finish of the mirrors. If the mirrors aren't bright and clear before you buy, nothing you can do will bring it back.

    I think the toning looks great, and I wouldn't dip it- I'll let you know how it looks when it arrives!

    I think if it was cleaned it was done 45 years ago before it was placed in that envelope it was stored in. Myqqy may have a "you suck!" coming. Do let us know I am curious.

    It';s either been in acraft envelope like the seller said or it has an old bad dip and that's the residue you see. I can't tell which from the picture.
    I wouldn't count on it being a DMPL though. I'd feel safe in saying Semi-PL or maybe PL but not DMPL.

    After the auction ended, I started to wonder if I stepped on your toes with this auction- I wasn't trying to steal anything from you, but I guess I didn't get a clear sense that this was something you had your heart set on. I think if you would have said, I really want this one, I would have stayed away. But I will report on how it looks when it arrives. I'm not expecting a full DMPL, but it looks like at least a very attractive PL morgan.....

    That's pretty funny and ironic...
    tsacch fancies a pretty Morgan and mentions it here...
    myqqy checks it out and bids on it not thinking that tsacch really, really likes it...

    tsacch has some barley pops and dozes on the sofa and misses his chance to bid on the Morgan

    The best part is that if tsacch had "oooohed and aahhhed" a bit more, myqqy might not have bid on it.

    No, thats cool man..........I liked the look of it but think you would have outbid me..............my budget is really tight now and I probably would have not gone that far.
    thanks for the concern, but no biggie.......

    too much yard work + beer + couch = deserving to miss the oppurtunity to bid.
